What is mindfulness?

Mindfulness is simply a technique where you learn to pay attention to what is happening in the present moment, in a non-judgemental, caring way. This process is guided by what is referred to as a mind-body approach. 
It helps us to react differently to things that happen, by teaching us how to pay attention to our thoughts and feelings in a way that allows us to manage our lives calmly. It is easy for all of us to go through life on auto-pilot, getting absorbed in our thoughts, and not being aware of the present. 

Mindfulness can help you become more self-aware, feel calmer and less stressed, sleep better, make wiser choices, cope with difficult and unhelpful thoughts and, most importantly, help you to be kind and compassionate to yourself.

Available for individuals or groups, my four-week course will teach you all the tools you need to practice mindfulness. 
To get the most out of it, you will need to practice the techniques at home.  
The cost of the course is £200 and consists of 4 x 90 mins sessions, plus coursework and CDs.

Introduction to mindfulness, stepping out of automatic pilot, mindful eating and body scan.

Week 2

Reconnecting with body and breath, event awareness and mindful breathing.

Week 3

Dealing with difficulties, sitting meditation, stress awareness and breathing space.

Week 4

Mindfulness in daily life, stress strategies, breathing space, loving kindness and activity awareness.
